Rossi dating valentino demais! Maravilhosa!

These seem to be the three priorities for Valentino Rossi as described by himself in a rather lengthy interview with the Italian magazine Gazzetta dello Sport. The 9-time World Champion talked about the current status of his career and the plans he has for the future. We’re not sure whether Rossi’s fans should be worried after they learn that he said that he had no intentions to make plans after 2016, but a lot of things WILL change on the MotoGP grid, indeed.

Rossi says he is still under contract and racing is his main objective for now. If anything, he knows that beating Marc Marquez is a very hard task and admits that the young Spaniard is so good that even if their ages would be similar, giving MM93 a run for the money would still be an iffy matter.

On the other hand, the Doctor is fully confident in his future, especially as he is in top shape, a physical and mental condition which is equal to any other peak moments of his lengthy career, to say the least. The bike is better and the team is working great, so let’s get down to racing motorcycles
Vale is also happy with the climate in the team, with his team boss and mechanics, who have delivered a bike which is better than the one used in 2014. Plus, Yamaha has recently introduced the full seamless transmission, an extra “weapon” allowing riders to make better corner entries.

MotoGP action is about to start with the next Sunday (March 29) being the first racing day of the 2015 season, in Qatar, and Rossi is determined to do his best in an attempt to claim his 10th world title. With the pre-season tests showing that the first 10 bikes post extremely close lap times, he knows that 100% is the minimum he can afford to give if he is to stand a chance of stealing Marquez’ crown… and preventing Jorge from reclaiming it, too.“Let's say that in the next 10 years I want a son”
As for the future, Rossi says he has no exact plans. The grid will see dramatic changes in 2016, with the introduction of the unified software and new tires, and telling what lays beyond is anyone’s guess. However, he mentions that his relationship with his fiancée Linda is working great, even in the absence of marriage plans. His riding academy is also doing very well, and discovering and growing young Italian talents is becoming a more and more efficient business. The only long-term plan seems to be the perspective of having a baby, preferably a son, Gazzetta dello Sport reports.

Again, it looks like what the future holds is down to how 2015 will be as a racing year and what will happen in reality after the new MotoGP regulations become effective. Until then, however, we’ve got a racing weekend ahead, the first of the season!
